On Sunday 27 April 2025, in St Peter’s Square in Rome, during the Jubilee of Youth, Carlo Acutis (1991-2006) will be proclaimed a Saint. In the last year of his life, Carlo Acutis was a student
at a Jesuit school in Italy: the Istituto Leone XIII in Milan.
On this occasion, our friends in Italy would like to gather young people from our Jesuit and Companion Schools around the world to celebrate together. From the 24th to the 27th of April 2025, they would like to invite young people between the ages of 14 and 19, together with their guardians, to take part in the event “Carlo Acutis, one of us”, which will take place between Milan and Rome.
GENERAL PROGRAM OF THE EVENT
Thursday, April 24, 2025:
From 2:00 p.m. onward, arrival at Leone XIII in Milan and meeting of the delegations.
Friday, April 25, 2025:
Visit to Milan / sports tournaments / moments of reflection and prayer / visit to Carlo’s classroom / stories from his teachers.
Saturday, April 26, 2025:
Departure for Rome by train and arrival at the Massimo Institute.
Sunday, April 27, 2025:
10:30 a.m. Holy Mass in St. Peter Square.
After the Mass on April 27, delegations will depart directly from Rome to return home.
The delegations will be hosted (meals and accommodation) by Leone XIII Institute in Milan (April 24 and 25) and by Massimo Institute in Rome (April 26). Students and chaperones will sleep on school facilities. Please bring a sleeping mat and a sleeping bag. It will be spring in Italy, but nights may be a bit cool.
