12 February 2024 (Monday), JECSE´s IPP Learning by Refraction Masterclass + started. Father Johnny Go SJ and Rita Atienza conducted a webinar for the training participants: 52 educators and trainers from 11 different countries.
This course is part of JECSE’ s Ignatian pedagogical formation programme, whose main objective is to support staff in our schools to reflect on how we can apply the principles of the Ignatian Pedagogical Paradigm (IPP) to everyday educational practice.
During the next months, Father Johnny Go SJ and Rita Atienza, together with some facilitators from the IPP community created by JECSE to accompany educators on this path, will bring participants closer to the Learning by refraction approach. In addition to the online modules, the training will include four synchronous sessions in which some of the key elements of the paradigm will be explored in depth and participants will be able to define their first baby steps in their own contexts.
We are, therefore, starting on a path that gives us hope and excitement as it can help us to implement the IPP in our lessons in a practical and Ignatian way.
