Formators Conference 2018
For the 2018 JECSE Formators Conference we welcomed 26 participants from Belgium North and South, Ireland, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Spain and The Netherlands.
The theme of our meeting was ‘being Ignatian in a secularised context’; a continuation of the conversation begun in JESEDU-Rio. Our purpose was to explore how – as Ignatian educators – we can find new ways to meet the ‘needs of the times’ in our European context.
Headmasters Conference 2018
The Loyola retreat center in northern Spain was swathed in snow at the end of February as it hosted a major gathering of the head masters of Jesuit schools in Europe.
A 125 head masters travelled from across Europe to the birth place of St Ignatius for the triennial European Jesuit Primary and Secondary Education Conference (JECSE) entitled “Can we talk about Jesus – Jesuit schools in a multi-faith context”.
